Fieldbound (“Fieldbound,” “we,” “us”) turns a missionary's weekly emails and photos into a printed keepsake book. Those materials are personal and often irreplaceable. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it the way we would want it written for our own family.

Information we collect

  • Account and order details — your name, email address, and the shipping address and phone number you provide at checkout.
  • Missionary details — the missionary's name, title, mission, status, and estimated return date, as you enter them.
  • The mission materials — the email export and photos you share with us so we can build the book.
  • Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive only confirmation of payment and the order details.
  • Technical and anti-spam data — basic log data and a Cloudflare Turnstile check used to keep automated abuse off our forms.

How we use it

  • To organize the letters and photos and build your book.
  • To take payment, print, and ship your order.
  • To send you transactional email about your book, and, for a pre-mission or mid-mission missionary, a check-in around the homecoming.
  • To keep your book safe in your account so you can reprint it years later.

What we do not do

We never use your missionary's words or photos to train any model. We never sell your information, and we never share it for advertising. Your materials are not used for any purpose other than building and fulfilling your book.

How we store and protect it

Your letters and photos are stored privately and are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to your account and the people you invite. Internally, only the team members who need to produce your book can reach your materials.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run Fieldbound. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Supabase — database and private file storage.
  • Vercel — website and application hosting.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Cloudflare — anti-spam (Turnstile) and network security.
  • Lulu — printing and shipping the finished book.

You export your own materials from your email and photo providers (for example, Google). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention and deletion

We keep your book and its materials in your account so you can order reprints. You may ask us to delete your materials at any time, and we will, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations. Email us at info@myfieldbound.com to make a request.

Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, or delete your information, and you may opt out of non-essential email at any time. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing.

Children

Fieldbound is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. The missionaries whose materials we handle are adults.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email.
