These terms govern your use of Fieldbound (“Fieldbound,” “we,” “us”) that turns a missionary's emails and photos into a printed keepsake book. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
You share the missionary's weekly emails and mission photos. We organize them week by week, generate a mission map and companion roster, and give you an editor to lay out and order a printed hardcover. Some steps are handled by our team on your behalf.
You keep ownership of the letters, photos, and other materials you provide (“your content”). You represent that you have the right to share that content with us and to have a book made from it. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and reproduce your content solely to build, print, and deliver your book and to provide the service to you. We do not use your content to train any model, and we do not sell or share it. See our privacy policy for details.
The Fieldbound website, editor, templates, fonts, map rendering, and related software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use them to create your book. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the platform.
Use Fieldbound only for lawful purposes and only with content you have the right to use. Do not upload unlawful material, infringe anyone's rights, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service.
The book is a flat $179 (Crafted by You) or $199 (Designed for You) for up to 250 pages; pages beyond 250 are $0.50 each per copy ordered, and the book stays a single volume. The per-page charge reflects the added cost of printing each physical copy. Additional copies are $89 each, plus that same per-page charge when the book runs past 250 pages. Shipping and applicable sales tax are added at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change, but a change never affects an order you have already placed.
Your book is printed to order through our print partner once you approve and pay. Because each book is custom-made from your content, orders are generally non-refundable once they enter production.
We stand behind the print quality. If your book arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, contact us within 30 days and we will reprint and reship it at no charge. This does not cover changes of mind about layout, text, or photos you approved before ordering.
The service is provided “as is.” We work hard to organize your materials accurately, but automated photo dating and email parsing are not perfect, and you are responsible for reviewing and approving your book before you order it.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service or an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from content you provide that you did not have the right to use.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be resolved in San Diego County, California.
We may update these terms. We will post the new date above, and continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.

A Fieldbound book credit is a prepaid certificate good for one Standard-tier keepsake book of up to 250 pages, including standard shipping within the United States. Credits never expire and carry no fees. Amounts owed beyond what a credit covers — the Designed for You upgrade, pages beyond 250, additional copies, and applicable taxes on those amounts — are payable at checkout at then-current prices. Credits are transferable; whoever presents the code may redeem it. One credit per book. Credits are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. An unredeemed credit is refundable to the original purchaser on request. Sales tax on the credit purchase is collected at the time of purchase.
